About Us
Hi, I’m James May, Director of Blackwood Homes.
Blackwood Homes is a family owned and operated building company based in Northwest Auckland. With over 25 years of industry experience and three generations of building knowledge behind us, we bring practical experience, attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship to every project.
As a Licensed Building Practitioner, I’m personally involved throughout the building process, from the early planning stages through to completion. This hands on approach means our clients deal directly with the people responsible for delivering their project.
Every site, home and client is different. We work closely with our clients to understand what they want to achieve, identify practical solutions and make the most of their budget, section and design.
Building or renovating is a significant investment, so clear communication and reliability are just as important to us as the finished result. We take pride in doing things properly, keeping our clients informed and delivering work we’re proud to put the Blackwood name on.
From custom homes and renovations to outdoor living spaces and spec homes, we bring the same care, experience and attention to detail to every project. For us, it’s about creating homes our clients love and delivering a building experience they can trust.
